Overview: Bethany’s love of storytelling has been a life-long passion. Even in her toddler years, she would sit down with anybody that would listen as she theatrically told them fairytales as if she was sharing life-saving information. As she grew, she began creating stories of her own, but convinced it would serve her best to follow a "conventional" career path, she tucked them away and went off to college. Fast forward four years and about six major changes later, she realized the stories simply were not going to stay tucked away. Six months away from graduating with a degree in Elementary Education, and growing more miserable with every day that brought her closer to a career she truly didn’t want, she finally realized writing was the only career that was going to make her happy. So, one day in the middle of a summer education course, she got up in the middle of class and walked to the Registrar’s office and withdrew from the university on the spot. Since then, she has devoted herself to writing full-time and is following her dreams. Bethany is the author of the Scottish, time-travel romance novels Morna’s Legacy Series, which includes the novels, Love Beyond Hope, Love Beyond Reason, and her debut novel, Love Beyond Time. She lives in the Texas Panhandle.

#1. Love Beyond Time
A powerful Scottish laird. A time-traveling teacher. A tragic destiny only she can prevent.
Unlucky in love, schoolteacher Brielle "Bri" Montgomery wonders where all the good men have gone. They certainly don’t waltz through her safe and meticulous life in Texas. Venturing out of her comfort zone, she joins her archaeologist mother on a dig in Scotland… and finds herself transported 400 years into the past. Shocked and bewildered, Bri learns she’s just moments away from marrying an impossibly handsome Scotsman…
Eoin Conall has no interest in wedding the woman who irritates him to no end. But with a promise made to his dying father fresh on his mind, he ties the knot with his insufferable bride. Once wed, to his surprise, he notices something has changed about her. Something irresistible. Could he be falling for the wife he never wanted?
As her initial wary attraction to the gallant highlander turns to love, Bri wishes she wasn’t aware of history’s impending slaughter of Eoin and the entire Conall Clan. Unable to accept his gruesome destiny, she sets out to rewrite history.
Will Bri and Eoin succeed in protecting their impossible romance or is their heartbreaking fate already sealed?
#2. Love Beyond Reason
It all started with a spell.
Arran Conall lives with the consequences of his foolishness daily, his mistakes guiding him into darkness. He had no way to know that his beloved would fall prey to the ancient magic that awaited Blaire on the day he’d sent her away to marry his brother. Now, the only woman to ever give pause to his philandering ways lives centuries ahead of him, out of reach while still holding on to his heart. Now, he must try to live a life without her and marries another to save the lass from a greedy suitor who only wants to lay title to her father’s territory.
His love for Blaire haunts him. With every breath, he prays only one thing — that she will be able to feel his love for her across the chasms of time.
Born in the seventeenth century, Blaire MacChristy lives each day trying to adjust to the challenges of modern-day life. Magic brought her here, but heartbreak keeps her from using the magic to travel back to her home. When visitors from her past arrive asking her to return to the life she’d known before, Blaire takes a chance on love. Once home, she is shocked to learn that the man she loves has married another. Will fate find a way to mend their broken hearts by bringing them together once again? Even if it does, will they be able to stop the darkness that is coming for them both?
#3. Love Beyond Hope
Love is the most powerful kind of magic.
Baodan McMillan values many things in life: friendship, loyalty, kindness, but certainly not love. After the tragic death of his wife many years ago, he hardened himself to the idea of giving his heart to another. There is but one lass who can thaw his chilly heart, a lass he’s never met nor knows of, a lass whose birth won’t occur until centuries after his death.
Mitsy Fredrickson is in serious need of a distraction. With the ink still drying on her divorce papers, she flies to Scotland determined to forget about her own problems by helping her best friend re-enter reality. She knows Bri’s claims that she is able to travel back in time and is currently living in the year 1647 are a lie but, instead of locating her friend, Mitsy falls prey to the same magic and is quickly forced to believe the impossible.
Modern and sassy, Mitsy finds few who know how to take her fiery personality in the seventeenth century, but she finds her match in Baodan, laird of McMillan Castle. He is her opposite in every way, yet she feels balanced in his presence. The more time she spends with him, the harder she falls. She suspects he feels the same way, but something is holding him back—a dark secret from his past that even Baodan doesn’t fully understand. Mitsy works to uncover what is hidden in the hopes that with resolution Baodan will be free to love her. But the truth is darker than she expects, and it threatens to destroy them both.
#4. Love Beyond Measure
What is life worth without the love you’re meant for?
Sent to the brink of death by his own brother’s blade, Eoghanan McMillan clings to the brief moments he spends in the shadows, watching from afar the beautiful lass he’s never met. He spends his time some four centuries after his birth, slowly building his strength so that he may return home, but each glimpse into the woman’s life leaves him wanting. He wants nothing more than to know her.
When Grace Mitchell’s job as a photojournalist sends her to Scotland with her young son, Cooper, in tow, her greatest wish is to escape from the aftermath of the wedding she abandoned. Instead, her life complicates further when she meets the mysterious, scarred, and alluring Eoghanan McMillan – a man so unlike any she’s ever known. She falls for him quickly but, after a spell sends them back in time to the seventeenth century, Grace is forced to accept the amazing truth about the man she’s just beginning to know and to re-think the life she had planned for herself.
Will their love for one another be enough to make Grace stay in a time so different from her own – a decision that will alter the direction of her young son’s life entirely? Or will she sacrifice a future with the man she loves to give her son a life of normalcy? In the end, she may just learn that the decision isn’t hers to make.
#5. Love Beyond Compare
She left her whole world behind to find the one thing that really matters.
Jane Mitchell has many dreams for her life, but living in the seventeenth century was never one of them. Unknowingly transported through time by the meddling witch, Morna, Jane chooses to stay in the past so she can remain in her beloved nephew’s life. Castle life doesn’t really suit her, and Jane quickly finds that her love for her family isn’t enough to fill her hungry soul. Eager for purpose, she takes work at the village inn. One frigid evening, she takes in the most infuriating man she’s ever met…never suspecting for a moment that he could be the one her soul hungers for.
Adwen MacChristy doesn’t want to be laird of Cagair Castle. With a youth spent traveling the world and sleeping beneath the stars in the company of loose women, nothing weighs on Adwen’s heart like knowing the life he loves is about to come to an end. He would rather spend his days as a penniless wanderer than take on the responsibilities handed to him by his father. On his last night of freedom, Adwen stops at the inn near McMillan Castle and meets the only lass to ever deny his advances, bewitching him in an instant. Suddenly, he finds himself believing that responsibility might not mean a life spent in chains if he has a fiery lass like Jane by his side.
Will Jane allow herself to fall for a man who is the very embodiment of the reckless life she left behind, or will fate make the decision for her when it sends her through time once again?
#6. Love Beyond Dreams
Gillian Wright dreams of the same man every night—his kind eyes and gentle smile as familiar to her now as her own reflection. She looks forward to her nights spent with him, but when she starts to hear his voice in the winds around Cagair Castle, she can’t help but wonder if he’s more than a figment of her imagination.
Only pain comes to him when he sleeps. His dreams give him glimpses of all he can’t remember when awake. His name and memories are lost to him in a way that leaves him troubled and wanting. Then the opportunity for a new life places him in the path of a lass who seems to already know him. Could she be the key to helping him remember?
