Money to Burn by Ricardo Piglia (translated by Amanda Hopkinson)
Requirements: EPUB Reader, 298 kB
Overview: Love and betrayal complicate a robbery gone wrong in this edgy true-crime novel based on a 1965 Argentine bank robbery. There’s the drama of the botched raid itself, followed by a blowout afterparty, an attempted double-crossing of the corrupt local authorities, and a final shootout where, as a last act of rebellion, the robbers burn all the loot.

Ricardo Piglia is one of the foremost contemporary Argentine writers, known equally for his fiction: several collections of short stories; the novels "Artificial Respiration", 1980; "The Absent City", 1992; "Money to Burn", 1997) and his criticism (1986 "Criticism and Fiction", 1999 "Brief Forms", 2005 "The Last Reader"). Piglia has received a number of awards.
Genre: Latin American Literature / Thriller
