Overview: I’ve always read mysteries, but never thought about writing one until the idea for The Quarter Boys popped into my head. In fact, I figured I’d write literary fiction, if anything. Once I’d finished Quarter Boys, though, I was intrigued enough by the characters to write a sequel, and it just progressed from there. I’m loyal to the genre because I like it, but if an idea for something completely different came along, I wouldn’t hesitate to pursue it.
