The Legend of Mermaid Cliff is a reminder; a reminder to the townspeople of their sinister past.
One boy, Mark Parker, swears to avenge the death of the girl found murdered beneath the cliff. Mark recruits the help of some friends and begin to unravel the mysteries of Rockport. The events that transpire during the investigation send Mark on a path that will make him question everything he ever knew.
2. The Chosen One: Mark Parker’s life will never be the same…
After leaving behind everything he has ever known, Mark sets off on a new journey. Finally meeting Josiah Lai and the Order of Lai, Mark must train for the battle coming. He soon finds that this world is far from what he ever expected. He finds that his ancient bloodline comes with a gift and a curse. Meeting new friends along the way, they work together to face new dangers around Dracfort. Never forgetting what is waiting for him back in Rockport, Mark waits for the inevitable meeting with Aurora and his family.
Mark trains in the ancient ways of the Order of lai. From magic, spirit animals, and hand to hand combat, Mark realizes that his life will never be the same again. He learns that the title of The Chosen One comes with a lot of responsibility. Mark soon learns that a new evil is threatening to rise and destroy everything he has worked to save.
3. The Resistance: A changed world… Three years after the final fight with Aurora on Mermaid Cliff, Mark Parker awakens to a new life. With his memory wiped, he wakes up in a new place, with new people. Mark tries to accept that he may never remember his past, but something inside of him forces him to search for the truth. The answers he seeks to find may not be what he expected.
During the three years that Mark was missing, the world as he knew it came to an end. With Aurora’s final sacrifice, the barriers had been brought down; the portals had been opened. New species, from new worlds, including creatures from hell, entered our world. Nations around the world banded together to fight the dangerous swarm. After a year of fighting, billions of lives lost, the Order of Lai forced the portals shut and closed the barriers.
Through this fight, a new evil rose – The Federation. Flint created a new government that threatened to kill anyone who didn’t join. The Federation destroyed the Syreni and scared whatever was left of the Order of Lai into hiding. Though the Federation is a big threat to the New World, a new evil is emerging. Mark Parker must remember his past and attempt to save the world once more.
