Cabot Layne is a trader, through and through. Some might call him a pirate, but he never breaks the law. He only bends it. One thing’s for sure–he’s certainly no hero. Except a certain BlackOps officer seems to think he is, and sends him off on a mission only a trader can pull off.
That only a very good trader can pull off.
War is good for business.
Cabot’s not concerned with the safety of an allied planet, or even the PAC itself–everyone knows guys like him are privateers who only care about themselves. But if he can save the planet and make a profit too…well, that might not hurt his reputation too much.
Sometimes a shady guy needs to play good guy.
#2 – Blood Money
Double crosses, insults, and clashing personalities–and that’s just within Cabot’s own crew. He, Nagali, and Omar are off on another adventure!
An asset has gone dark, and Cabot’s tasked with finding out why.
He ends up deep inside a dirty operation he wants no part of, among the worst dregs of society. It’s the kind of thing that Cabot wants nothing to do with, but someone has to do something.
Luckily for him, someone new has joined his team. Peregrine’s a hard-as-nails special ops officer, and there’s no telling how she’ll mix with the likes of his longtime associates Omar and Nagali.
He’ll have to get creative to keep this group together long enough to solve the problem at hand. But then, getting creative and working his underhanded mercenary magic is what he does best.
This is going to get interesting.
