1. The Doomed Planet
Finding himself suspended upside down from a burning tree above a pack of ravenous beasts was a bit of a surprise for Sevan. It had been one heck of a week. One minute he’d been struggling to meet his Corporation targets, the next he’d been promoted… And then he’d found himself on a stolen freighter with the Resistance, on their way to find the President of the system. But sometimes, stuff like that just happens… right? When he discovers that the President is really a ball of gas, and the Corporation is trying to destroy the presidential cruiser on which he’s trapped, that’s when he starts to lose his sense of humour. It couldn’t possibly get worse … or could it?

5. The Swordsmen of Angetenar
Ay-ttho has a shady past which always seems to catch up with her. Hiding from the Republic, she ends up in one of the toughest systems in the galaxy trying to free a youngling from her abusive slave drivers. Things only get worse when she is recognised and transported to a remote prison asteroid. Tori is fed up of Ay-ttho getting them into trouble, having to flee Republic guards and now, on top of it all, having to rescue her from a remote prison asteroid. Together, they return to rescue the youngling but soon find that this is when their troubles really begin. The crew find themselves in a fight for survival as they flee straight into an interplanetary revolution.
6. The Star Masters
Sevan has been manipulated into a mission to assassinate the President of the Republic If that wasn’t dreadful enough, he has to masquerade as a bounty hunter. Sevan wants to get home, but is caught up in another scheme, to assassinate the President. And pretending to be a bounty hunter doesn’t help. Matthews wants to avenge her begetter’s murder and assume the Presidency but the stress of killing her co-begetter, sends her into mental exhaustion and the mercy of others. Scotmax wants to enjoy her partnership with Nadio but the opportunity to overthrow the Republic is too tempting to resist. When it doesn’t go quite according to plan she finds herself in a fight for her life. Floating in space in a shuttle with no fuel, can they drift into the portal before the life support packs up? Or will the Star Masters get to them first? They find themselves in the hands of fate.
