It’s the dead winter in the city. The pedestrians pass close to the furnaces near the skyscrapers, just to catch a few moments of genuine warmth. But these days his heroine lady throws fits, fights him at night before bed, leaning over his shoulder as he pretends to sleep. Sometimes he sees genuine murder in her eyes. And over what? He hasn’t done anything! One day the alpha male gangster emerges from the grocery store with the distinct feeling he is being followed. And then he realizes, his “lovely” wife is having him followed.
It’s bad enough that his lady can’t trust him. She could also bring out a raging hot temper that got the gangster into trouble in the past. He doesn’t want that, and no one else does either. And the truth is that he does in fact have a secret—he’s found a girl he truly loves, and he will stop at nothing to keep her safe.
