#1 – A Mage’s Gambit: New York Falling
It’s not a bad life, if you can keep your conscience out of the way.
Malachi English lives in the shadows of the New York that most people don’t have to see, walking a middle line between the humans and the hellkind, using magic and his wits to stay one step ahead.
If he watches his back and looks after Number 1, there’s good money to be made in cleaning up the mess that the demons leave behind.
But looking after Number 1 is tricky unless you’re some kind of sociopath, which he isn’t. And when his ex-girlfriend gets abducted, Malachi and those he cares about are dragged into a conspiracy that threatens to wreck it all. A shadowy occult society are starting to make waves. That’s not unusual, but this time there’s something else, something on the edges of it all, that’s far more dangerous.
The bodies are starting to pile up, and Malachi’s about to find out just how far he’s prepared to go to protect the only family he’s got.
#2 – A Mage’s Fall: Dark Manhattan

Malachi’s back in Manhattan after saving humanity, not that anyone seems overly bothered about that. Still, hopefully things can get back to normal.
No chance. First off, his girlfriend’s joined a cult, but that soon becomes the least of his worries. Because someone or something is picking off the Aware, leaving their bodies torn open and desecrated. But even that’s not the worst of it. Something dark from Malachi’s past has resurfaced. And if he can’t deal with it, can’t stop it, then New York won’t ever be the same again. Now it’s just a question of whether he can hang on to his soul long enough to make his move.
#3 – A Mage’s Stand: Empire State
Malachi English is back, and this time Demons are the least of his worries.
Life is looking good for Malachi. He’s in a steady relationship, away from the wild life of the streets, and mixing with the crème de la crème of the New York magical community. Which explains why he’s so utterly, utterly bored.
Still, there’s the small matter of an unsanctioned vampire that he had a hand in creating. If news of that leaks out, then boredom could become nothing but a pleasant memory. And behind everything, there are schemers and strategists that see Malachi and his street-family as nothing more than expendable pawns. The wheels are in motion, and it’s going to be all that Malachi can do to avoid being crushed and sent straight to Hell.
