Overview: I’m a romantic at heart. A true romantic. I love the idea of a happy ending, so much so I have trouble writing a sad one. The world is sad enough. I like escaping in fiction. That’s just me. I like sarcasm and snark – but I’m not sure a sad ending is in me. If you’re looking for an edge like that, you’re probably looking in the wrong place.
Genre: Mystery

10. Grave Haunting – Maddie Graves is in a good place. She’s engaged to her best friend and love of her life Nick Winters, and the doldrums of the cold season are winding toward Valentine’s Day. What could go wrong?
A visit from the father who abandoned her before birth hits hard and fast, and Maddie finds herself overwhelmed with emotion. For his part, George Hunter says he only wants to talk but Maddie isn’t sure she should believe him.
Nick wants to help, but he has no idea how to do it. Matters only get worse when the owner of a local bed and breakfast is found murdered … and George just happens to be staying at her establishment.
It’s up to Nick and Maddie – working together with friends and family, of course – to untangle a rather large mess. The woman who died had secrets of her own, including a shopping addiction that led to divorce and two adult children who think they’re entitled to everything, even though they’ve never worked for anything.
Maddie’s grandmother is spitting mad when she finds out about George – and threats are flying fast and furious – but she’s not open for conversation and the ghost of Maddie’s dead mother isn’t providing answers either.
Maddie is caught between Graves family loyalty and a hard place, one that resides in her heart and takes up the spot reserved for her father.
When everything comes together – and all the battle lines are drawn – Maddie will have to make a choice. Is she willing to forget the past and try for a new future, or will she allow anger and bitterness to haunt her until the bitter end?

11. Grave Paths – Jennifer Cook was a young mother with a new infant when she disappeared from her home. She started haunting Maddie Graves’ dreams before her body was even found.
Despite that, Maddie is determined to find the woman’s child and return him to the life he was ripped from before she allows herself to rest. The only problem is that she has no idea who took him.
Nick Winters is worried about his fiancée. Maddie is manic when it comes to searching for the missing infant and he has his hands full with too many theories and not enough evidence. If a stranger took the baby, it’s most likely a desperate woman who wants to be a mother. If it’s someone else, the couple could already be too late.
Nick and Maddie are going to have to work together to piece together a story filled with twists, turns and more betrayal than should be possible. From a grieving father who may be a terrible husband to a despondent mother who might’ve lost her own child, the possibilities are endless.
When the truth is finally revealed, Maddie finds herself in another mess. She’s desperate for the truth, but she’s not sure she can live with it when everything comes to light.
Death is coming to Blackstone Bay. It’s anyone’s guess who will be left standing when the smoke clears.

12. Grave Danger – Maddie Graves went from an unhappy life in the city to her version of the perfect life in Blackstone Bay. Now she’s going back … and danger is stalking her every move.
When Maddie gets a call from a police officer she knows in Detroit, she can’t turn her back on his plea. It seems girls are going missing in the city and some of them have turned up dead in an abandoned city lot.
Nick Winters wants to focus on his upcoming wedding to Maddie, not danger in a city he’s uncomfortable visiting. Maddie puts her foot down, though, and it’s either let her go alone or tag along for the ultimate ride. There’s only one option.
Maddie may be familiar with the landscape – especially when their investigation takes her to the hospital where she used to work – but Nick is a fish out of water and their investigative techniques don’t mesh.
Detroit is a gritty city and there’s danger afoot. A predator lurks in the shadows and it just might be someone from Maddie’s past.
It’s going to take everyone working together to solve this one, and even then death might come calling. Nick is determined to make sure Maddie isn’t the grim reaper’s next victim but he’s not necessarily safe himself.
Trouble is here again … and nobody is safe.

13. Grave Missteps – Maddie Graves and Nick Winters are feeling the pull of spring. The only thing hanging over them is wedding plans … until they see smoke in the sky and race to a house to offer rescue.
Instead of the elderly woman they were expecting, Maddie pulls a young teenager from a basement window and stumbles across a mystery that is decades in the making.
The girl has no name, no identity and either can’t or won’t communicate. She’s terrified of every person she comes into contact with … except for Maddie. State social workers are called in, but the young girl seems lost in her own little world.
The owner of the house is found dead inside, but she wasn’t killed by the fire. It seems someone wanted her dead for different reasons … and Nick has to figure out exactly who targeted his neighbor and the young girl living in the basement.
The hows and whys are difficult to unravel and when Nick starts uncovering the truth, a dark secret threatens to tear apart multiple families.
The race is on to communicate with the victim, find out who is hunting her, and put together a happily ever after for everyone involved. All Maddie has to do to make sure that happens is to hold it together long enough to fight off a killer and protect her young charge.
That might be harder than she thought. Much, much harder.

14. Grave Demand – Maddie Graves and Nick Winters are looking forward … to marriage and forever. Before that happens, they have to look to the past and overcome another obstacle.
Todd Winthrop, the man who tried killing Maddie when she first returned to town, is up for trial. Maddie and Nick have been called to testify, but before that happens, they have to solve an eerily similar murder.
Shelby Capshaw was blonde, young, and her body was discovered close to Nick and Maddie’s house. She’s killed in the exact manner Todd’s previous victim died, which could be enough to cause reasonable doubt.
Nick is determined to make sure Todd gets what’s coming to him, and that includes a life behind bars. Before that happens, Shelby’s murder needs to be solved and another killer must be removed from the street.
The working theory is that the killer has ties to Todd and is trying to influence the outcome of his trial. Nick doesn’t have enough leads to point him in the right direction, though. He’s going to need a little help from his psychic girlfriend.
Nick and Maddie are a determined team. That doesn’t mean death won’t come stalking and tear them apart.
They’re getting close to the finish line. They believe they simply need luck, love, and strength to win the race. Unfortunately for them, even that might not be enough.
