Mac Crow Thriller Series (1-2) by Clint Hollingsworth
Requirements: ePUB / MOBI Reader, 2.2MB
Overview: Clint Hollingsworth has studied tracking under Tom Brown, Jr., consultant on "The Hunted", and is a black belt in Goju Ryu karate.
Having spent a good deal of his time in the woods growing up, Hollingsworth developed a certain sensitivity to the natural environment, enhanced when he became a student of Brown’s Tracker School, learning wilderness survival and tracking. This led the author to more advanced training from naturalist Jon Young in tracking and awareness, and survival skills from survival instructor Frank Sherwood. These skills have saved his life in the far back country.

#1 – The Sage Wind Blows Cold
Bagging a killer should have been the end of it, but it was only the beginning.
Young tracker Mackenzie Crow, working at his uncle’s bounty hunting business, is ambivalent when an old flame pleads for help. His intuition tells him to scram and not look back, but Mac’s conscience won’t allow him to say ‘no’ to finding a lost child in the woods. Not sure where he stands with Kailee, Mac soon finds out: she is married to his old rival and has kept this from him in order to solicit his expertise.
Once in the woods with the Search and Rescue team, Crow comes into his element, and he finds the child’s trail within a short time. He also finds something completely unexpected: a strange set of tracks following the girl. It’s clearly the day for unwanted surprises.
Deep in the woods, desperately following the trail, he comes upon an SAR volunteer face down in the forest with an arrow in his back. Little does Mac know, this is only the beginning of his problems. Before this is through, he will be hunted by a psychopath and a cadre of mercenaries, all wanting to remove this nature’s son from the land of the living.
#2 – Death In The High Lonesome
WILDERNESS THRILLER. It’s common for the first day on the job to go badly, but not this badly. Tracker Mac Crow quickly goes from hunter to hunted.
Mackenzie Crow is hired to trail a fugitive from the law. Mac might be new to bounty hunting, but he is right at home in the northern woods, and this is just the sort of job he needs to make a name for himself.
Skillfully pursuing a murderer deep into the wilderness, Mac assumes this manhunt will be a slam dunk, after all, law officers and fellow bounty hunter Rosa are at his side. Homo sapiens are full of surprises however, and the young tracker finds himself on the wrong end of the hunt.
Mac and Rosa must escape from the deep mountains, with minimal gear during a blizzard, and to make things worse, they are being tracked by a killer who always seems to be three steps ahead of them. If Mac’s skills of survival and tracking fail them, he and Rosa’s bodies won’t be found until spring time.
#3 – The Deep Blue Crush
"I never thought I would die by fire.
It’s strange, the things that go through your mind, when a massive wall of flame is coming toward you, faster than most people can run. The little girl I was carrying wasn’t so philosophical about it, she was just terrified.
I could hear her father crashing through the brush beside me, and I knew he was just as burdened carrying the small boy who was the girl’s sister.
It didn’t look like it was going to be a good day for any of us."
From fire to water, tracker Mac Crow and his bounty hunting friends are searching for a swindler who specializes in stealing seniors’ retirement savings. The search leads to the beautiful Hawaiian islands–but it’s anything but a vacation. Before they are done, they’ll wish they had bought the travel insurance.
