When no one can be trusted, it’s time to run. Or keep fighting. Lucky for me, I’m learning more and more that I’m a fighter. I didn’t want to maim Margaux and I definitely didn’t want to disobey Rodrick. None of it matters now. The vixra council will soon judge Margaux before I can find a way to free her from possession by the Dolch Erbe. If I can’t free her, there’s no way I can free my brother. The vixra council will sentence him the second he’s caught. But one thing remains the same. I will never give up and I will never back down.
6. Resummon
What’s more fun than nearly getting killed by an ancient and deadly witchling? Revenge, of course! Well, sort of. The Vontex and I were able to capture Margaux but she’s still possessed. And still crazy. To make matters worse, I’m so weak from constantly trying to survive each day that I don’t know if my magic can free her. If I can’t save Margaux then there’s no hope for my brother. So I have no choice. I have to power on. And most of all, I have to get my brother back.
7. Resent
Death is all around me. No matter what I do, people I love keep dying. I might have tricked the grandmaster but it came at a price. One I wasn’t ready to pay. Now there are so few people I can trust that I don’t know who to turn to. My hopes of breaking the curse are dwindling into nothing. The question remains. If I do free my brother from the grandmaster’s possession will he even want to live after what he’s done? Will the vixra council spare him? Will all my efforts come to nothing? At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. I have to keep fighting. Even if it costs me my life.
