1. Kaleidoscope
Duplicity, deception, and death.
When Martin Bower, CEO of financially troubled Coastal Regional Hospital, is fired and charged with embezzling millions of dollars, he turns to his old friend, criminal defense attorney Lucius White. Opposing White is the ambitious, win-at-any-cost federal prosecutor who will do whatever it takes to convict Bower, and the hospital’s attorneys are only too happy to give her all the help she needs.
As Lucius White investigates the charges against Bower, he uncovers an elaborate maze of money transfers designed to hide the theft of drugs from the hospital and coded messages that hide a scheme to take over the hospital. But who is behind the thefts? Who wants control of the hospital and why do they want it? And why have those who can answer the questions been murdered?
White’s peril-riddled investigation is merely preluded to the dramatic trial during which the last clue linking all the crimes fall into place.
2. The Medallion
A drug lord, a corrupt congressman, a search for Native American treasure, and a secret Army facility for the storage of deadly toxins don’t appear to have anything in common, but they make for a deadly mix.
Lucius White, while taking a break from his criminal law practice to search for Native American treasure, is coerced into conducting a clandestine operation to recover computer discs from the wreckage of a DEA plane that crashed off the Honduran coast.
A seemingly innocent encounter with a Honduran businessman sets off a chain of events that threaten the lives of White and everyone associated with him. But they are not the only ones who are in danger. Thousands of other lives now depend on White, but time is running out.
3. The Nominee
Drugs, deception, and death.
When the son of Graham Brochette, U.S. Attorney and the nominee for a prestigious position in the Department of Justice, is arrested for possession of cocaine, Brochette turns to criminal defense attorney Lucius White to defend him. White’s investigation quickly takes a surprising turn when Brochette’s son’s partner in crime is murdered after he is released on bail – and ballistics prove that the murder weapon is a gun that belongs to Brochette.
White’s search for the truth engulfs him in a web of deception which culminates in the discovery the nothing is as it seems.
