2. Someone to Love
Abigail Backworth Maldon is no fan of marriage, having buried her late husband after his embarrassing demise (he toppled headfirst out of a bedroom window in an attempt to avoid an angry husband). Why, he could pretend to be his own heir — a totally worthless, chuckleheaded moron of a dandy he’d rather die (again) to keep from the earldom.
It could work. It should work. If only he could get past his attraction for Miss Bliss as she, horror of horrors, teaches him how to play the fop.
