Summerside Press releases two new books in the series every other month, with the goal to set at least one novel in each of the fifty states. Each novel has a word count of around 80,000, and the stories may be historical or contemporary. One goal of the series is to give readers a taste of local life across America, so each novel draws on the compelling history or unique character of a real place. Plot details remain as faithful as possible to the town’s history, geography, and atmosphere.
