#1DRUMS ALONG THE HUDSON
When Native American anthropologist Linda Lightfoot approaches Mayor Vincent Patch of New York City for permission to dig in Central Park, he denies her request. After consulting with an NYU professor, he learns the tribe is searching for lost documents that may prove that Manhattan’s land was leased, not purchased, from the Canarsee tribe. Shocked at what could happen to his city if the documents were recovered, Patch goes undercover with his attorney brother, Nathan, to find out what the tribe knows. When the brothers show up in disguise at a powwow on Long Island, Patch smokes a peace pipe with them. When asked for his name, he invents one that accidentally identifies him as the tribe’s chosen one—the one they have been waiting for to save their tribe and reclaim their homeland. However, a tribal member named Pale Fox does not take kindly to being usurped as the next chief—he aims to prove that the sudden appearance of the “chosen one” is a fraud.

#2 GHOSTS OF THE TITANIC

K.T. Tomb takes an infamous page from history and recreates it as a sweeping adventure thriller and undersea treasure hunt in GHOSTS OF THE TITANIC. First, she takes readers back to 1912 and the maiden voyage. Forbidden Russian lovers—Stephan Ivanovich, a peasant farmer, and Darya Nikita, an aristocrat with a dowry of diamonds—board the Titanic so they can elope and enjoy a life together in America. The plot fast-forwards to a present-day quest and introduces illegal salvage entrepreneurs posing as documentary filmmakers. Captain Jonathan Martin and his hand-picked crew go to the deep-sea waters of Newfoundland, Canada, to try to recover the diamonds for Darya’s descendants, who hired them. Nick and Franco, the divers, conflict with Lisa, the ship’s medic, who’s in charge of training them to use their new technology. They all have their doubts about the presence of James Harper, a wanted criminal, on this ship. In the past, Darya is trying to escape her aristocratic family and an arranged marriage. In the present, using experimental equipment, when divers Nick and Franco see ghosts on the wreck, an unexpected murder mystery unfurls startling secrets of the voyage before the Titanic hit the iceberg.

#3 CURSE OF THE COINS
When a professor and his team of college students explore the basement of an old burned-out church, they discover artifacts, including a leather pouch filled with silver Roman coins from the time of Jesus Christ—there are thirty of them. When the professor is unable to continue the research, the students, who are left in charge of the find, wonder if they are the same coins paid to Judas Iscariot for the capture of Jesus. The first squabble between the students begins when Robert wants to sell the coins, and Sheila argues that they belong to the church or should be in a museum. The other students also disagree about what to do with the coins. It soon becomes clear that bad things happen to anyone who handles the coins—or separates one coin from the others. When several of the coins go missing from the leather pouch, the students fall prey to the coins’ curse of greed—and worse—that seems to befall whoever touches them. Or covets them.
