Overview: Raphael Hunter is an average hard working stiff, plowing through the boredom of life, a one-quarter Navajo roughneck. After being stricken by life’s middle age drudgery, he decides it’s time for the big change, the one he has always wanted to make. It’s time for him to move from his current home in the bayou country of Louisiana back to his original home in the Four Corners area of New Mexico, the big plan to start over.
But during his move, he meets Sera, an alluring, enigmatic young creature that apparently has powers far beyond his understanding, far beyond the comprehension of any normal human being. She owns an orbuculum, a crystal ball if you will, that could possibly be the source of her power, or is it?
Hunter considers Sera to be a nefarious entity, but she is so void that he cannot decide who or what she is. Sera curses Hunter, trapping him using his own lust, binding him into a mindless servant. However, Hunter had the unfortunate luck to have also been cursed fifteen years earlier. That hex was apparently placed by Lina, a young woman he only spent a few hours with long ago. Even though their time together was short, Lina’s hex was so strong that the memory of her would not fade. She was never to be forgotten. Was Lina’s curse truly a plague, or was it actually a gift packaged in a riddle of spell casting words?
These two creatures, Lina and Sera, curse the poor fellow. They are witches of different decades, yet they are so similar. And he only realizes how much trouble he is in after meeting Sera and experiencing her magical orb.
Soon his normal world falls apart, reality astray with time and space out of sync. Hunter’s normal world is no more, as absolute weirdness permeates his life.
