All M.D. wanted was to get home, and lock herself in her study to enjoy a weekend free from all responsibilities so that she could indulge in her once-a-year tradition of watching NASCAR and talking with her dad. It’s the one thing she still calls her own, still allows herself to do.
But on the way home on Friday afternoon, as she’s stuck in traffic, something’s happened. Whatever it was, it wasn’t good. She’s not where she’s supposed to be.
