Requirements: .ePUB reader, 1.35 MB
Overview: Lawrence Watt-Evans (born 1954) is one of the pseudonyms of American science fiction and fantasy author Lawrence Watt Evans (another pseudonym, used primarily for science fiction, is Nathan Archer). Born in Arlington, Massachusetts, as the fourth of six children, he made his first attempts at professional writing when he was eight.

After graduating from Bedford High School in Bedford, Massachusetts, he attended Princeton University but left without a degree. By the rules of Princeton, he could not re-apply for a year, during which he began to seriously try to sell his writing, but sold nothing significant until The Lure of the Basilisk in 1978 (published 1980), whereupon he began writing full time.

The Lure of the Basilisk: (Lords of Dus #1)

An overman named Garth sought immortal fame. The oracle told him to serve the Forgotten King to get his wish, so the King sends Garth after a basilisk whose gaze could turn men to stone.

The Seven Altars of Dusarra: (Lords of Dus #2)

Garth of Ordunin had been set a new task by the Forgotten King–bring back to Skelleth whatever he found upon the altars of the seven temples of Dusarra. As he went about his blasphemous errand he learned more about the Dark Gods–and even more about his own destiny.

The Sword of Bheleu: (Lords of Dus #3)

The sword that Garth had stolen from Dusarra marked him as the chosen of Bheleu, god of destruction, and gave him immense power.

The Book of Silence: (Lords of Dus #4)

Now he needed it back, and the King demanded that Garth bring him the Book of Silence in exchange, but Garth feared that the King would use the Book to bring about an Age of Death.
