The lights went out, and everything went crazy. When she thought about it, Emma realized it hadn’t been that long since the crash, but already, everyone was going out of control. Not that she could blame them. There was no power, and no easy form of transportation. Food was depleting quickly, as were people’s sense of humanity. With enemies coming out of the wood work, Emma has to learn to fight to keep her family, and the people she cares about safe, or she might just lose it all in this new strange, dangerous world they now lived in. At the same time, she has to deal with the changing relationships in her life, and it might all prove to be too much for her…
Front Lines (Book 3)
She thought things were bad, that they couldn’t get worse. She was wrong. Emma was just getting the hang of this world. With Chase, her closest friend from her schoolteacher years before the disaster, she’d been learning how to defend herself, and along with friends and family, had been looking out for the town and their limited resources, protecting them from thieving outsiders. She wondered if she could still find happiness after all she’d been through, but as long as the option was there, she would chose it and fight for it fiercely. She’s willing to try a new life, and with it, new romance. On the road, she meets betrayal and new enemies. Also new friends, new loss, and possibility for a new family, a new life. And Emma is going to guard it with all she’s got.
