Genre: Science Fiction, Cyberpunk, Dystopia
Life is a Beautiful Thing (Book 1)
Hallucinatory cyberpunk. Meta sci-fi satire. The future is futile. 2083. A pollute-addicted therapist named Meme battles his way through his mind and LA at the seat of his pants alongside a beautiful android escort with a surprising secret. With the Federal Corporate Government hunting him, will he make it to safety in time? The hunt is on. Part techno thriller, part literary science fiction, Life is a Beautiful Thing is a series that questions what it means to be human, a book that offers a shocking glimpse into a dystopian future fueled by corporate deceit, bawdy sex and high-end intoxicants.
Life is a Beautiful Thing II (Book 2)
The cast is back to pick up the story where Book One ended. Meme is still a functioning junkie out of his element; not to mention his body. Thanks to Yeshi, his Humandroid Ladyboy muse, he is still surviving on the run. They ditched Mexico and find themselves in Japan trying to dodge the FCG, ExEx and MercSecure. Heavy hitters want Meme the Traitor to draw his last breathe. Inhale. Exhale. End.
Rinchi has left whoring behind and is now an assassin – or “MercSecure Representative” out to handle some situations. She is just starting this evolution and has some twisted methods for torture and death. She wants to pull the trigger on Meme, but is sidetracked with a sidekick (more like the Top Representative) heading to Mexico to clean up some business.
Meme takes a backseat and Yeshi and Rinchi take center-stage on their respective growth and character development. Cooper introduces some fun new characters and general chaos fills the pages. It is a solid continuation of the storyline. Body-switching, data-switching, pollutes, and much more are still in the mix.
