Overview: Eric is aging, well but not happily. The thing is, he’s been lonely since his wife died, so when he’s given the opportunity to invest in a real estate deal, he jumps. Not only does the deal sound good financially, but it gives him something to do.
He knows that it was a mistake to bring his brother into the deal; Kevin had problems of his own and didn’t deserve what happened to him. Worse was what happed to Eric’s old business acquaintance. And that poor young woman, that was a tragedy. My God, who could have known? It was just a business deal, after all. Gone bad, obviously. Very bad. But Eric didn’t do anything wrong. Did he?
