Uncle Phil’s Kenyan assistant Josh and his friends are to join them from Great Britain and to travel with them to Kenya. Josh of all people! On whom Lia has had a crush ever since she met him a few months ago at her uncle’s place.
Will they survive on their own? Will Josh and his friends find them? Will they all make it to Uncle Phil’s safe haven in Kenya? Will they cope with this new, utterly different world where absolutely nothing can be taken for granted anymore?
Heading Down South (#2)
It’s summer 2072 and after a global terrorist onslaught, twenty-three years old Lia, her siblings Alice and Nin, and Nin’s girlfriend Yuki find themselves alone in Switzerland. Mankind seems to have been wiped out entirely and they must survive on their own. After sixty-two days, they are finally joined by Josh, Lia’s love, and his friends Winter, Rob and Paul.
Together they now have to find a way to reach Uncle Phil’s safe haven in Kenya. They manage to get by plane all the way to Eastern Sudan and then by road on toward Ethiopia. On the way, they meet with other survivors and learn more about the terrorist network that brought on this apocalypse. On their way through Ethiopia, they have to fight for their lives and it is not always easy to know who is a friend and who not.
What will they encounter on their way? How will they make it to Uncle Phil’s place? What will they find at the end of their journey in Kenya?
