Then, he finds a possible Chosen and he follows her home, but suburban life threatens to drive him insane. He is being hunted by a monster hunter, a Grimdark Tracker who is hot on his trail, thirsty for revenge. Then there’s a sassy investigative reporter who, with the help of her two sidekick teenage friends, (all with their own Gifts! Sheesh!), want his head above a fireplace.
Soon, Urok regrets being set free in a world where everyone wants to kill him. Being a monster in suburbia is not all it’s cracked up to be. Luckily he has a trick up his sleeve to blend in – he’s a shapeshifter, but still…
