One day, in a fit of bravery, Kendall strays a bit too far from home and comes face-to-face with a giant bear, a bear who follows her panic all the way home. The good news is she’s not alone any more, the bad news is there’s a terrifying bear right who has taken an interest in her.
The bear becomes the least of her problems when her door is broken down by a rather muscular man, a gorgeous mountain of bravery who swears he is her savior. This is the first human Kendall has seen in over a year and his demands to come with him don’t make her feel any safer. The man named Addison insists there’s an unruly mob on the way and if she wants a chance at survival, he is her only hope. While she doesn’t entirely trust him, something about his haunting blue eyes compels her to follow.
While Kendall may believe that Addison will protect her from the other evil forces coming, she remains cautious of the hunky, charming man’s true intentions.

As evil humans began to pick off shifters on sight, Addison was left no choice other than to go it alone and use his sheer strength just to stay alive.
The poison rain washed away any hope he had left for decent humans so shifter-Addison avoids them at all costs, not that he’s seen any around lately anyway. When he comes across the lustfully plus-sized Kendall alone and vulnerable in the woods, he’s instantly aware that they were meant to be together. Instead of abandoning humans, Addison vows to protect Kendall and even give his own life if he has to. He feels she’s the purpose on this Earth that he has been searching for.
Addison doesn’t let his desire to feel and be close to the mouth-watering temptress hinder his promise to protect her, even when she continues to insist on marching herself back towards danger. He’ll do anything for her love and safety, no matter how dangerous.
When the entire world outside has gone mad, why does Kendall insist on trying to save them all?
