Kino Amark is just an ordinary boy living in a world where everyone has some special ability or for want of a better term, power. Since this is unusual, Kino is bullied in school.
Little does Kino know that his heritage has a rich history that links a former emperor, a clan thought to be long gone, and a princess who can make things happen by writing them. As Kino struggles to learn how to fly, a feat that he and his clumsy, chubby friend take on, the events leading to the loss of his power is revealed.

The history of Akea is unveiled, and Lamare Amark’s past as a princess is revealed. But what’s next for her? Her son, Kino Amark, continues his adventure with Mayo Calo, and together, they meet a little girl ghost. Meanwhile, Dogan Ronda, the soldier who is in love with Lamare goes to Derella to save the citizens from a great flooding.
3. Kino Amark and the Akean Wine Festival
The Akean Wine Festival is in a few days and Kino Amark is not ready to present his power to the Emperor because he has no power! But his friends, Pyper and Mayo, have convinced him to do a mockery of Distantekus, a legendary power that can move objects using only the mind. Will the Emperor discover the sham or will Kino Amark be declared a citizen even if he has no real power?
4. Kino Amark and the Swordless Swordsman
After the Akean Wine Festival, Kino, Pyper and Mayo are on the run to escape the wrath of the Emperor. They travel from one land to the next and in the process meet other astounding Akeans! Say–the Swordless Swordsman–who can slice objects with air!
As the adventure continues, the hunt for Kino and his friends by the Emperor’s men becomes even more dangerous, but with a new set of friends with them, will they be able to outwit the Emperor again? Or is it the end of their freedom?
