Overview: In 2008, K.B. Draper discovered a talent for storytelling after drinking a cheap bottle of wine at a Christmas Party. One of her also intoxicated friends said "you are so freak’n *burp* funny, you should write a book." The idea stuck and so did a cocktail napkin in an inappropriate place, but that’s a totally different story. After that, K.B. Draper taught herself to write. Which was challenging since she was a bad student and an even worse teacher. But words started to make sentences, sentences made paragraphs, and paragraphs eventually made a story, which came to be The U-Haul Diary. The U-Haul Diary is a comedic, loose interpretation (okay, completely one-sided view) of the women she dated, and moved in and out of her life (and house). Since writing was cheaper than therapy, she continued to tell stories in her same rambling humor, but this time in a modern day, will they-won’t they, oh no they didn’t, fantasy series, featuring Kanyon and Daylen; two heroines out to save the world from sin infused articles and the supernatural bad guys. Draper is not a classically trained writer, but she fakes it pretty okay and hopefully inspires a few chuckles along the way.

Where do the supernatural bad guys go to use their sin-infused articles to make another play for world domination? Hollywood, duh. Lucky for the world, there just so happens to be two out-of-work, ex TV superheroes with a secret destiny to keep the bad guys from succeeding. What should have been a brief appearance at a Comic-Con ends in a drunken discovery that central casting for the ultimate Good Side decided to select them as real-life superheroes. Together in a will they, won’t they, oohhh no they didn’t relationship, the two will discover the true roles they are destined to play and that the bond between them could not only save themselves, but the world.

Kanyon McKane and Daylen Elliott have, for the most part, finally gotten their Guardian and Seeker relationship hang-ups worked out. Kanyon is all over the protective gig, and Daylen is serving up some serious emotional mojo. Oh, and the fated love thing is going pretty well too. Which in Hollywood speak means “cue the chaos.” Lexi Cruze, Kanyon’s kind-of sort-of ex and self-assigned nemesis, has agreed to play hostess to the biggest, baddest chic in town. Okay technically, Ma’at, an evil deity on a serious power trip, isn’t a permanent resident of this plane just yet, but that all could change if she and her new human sock puppet find a certain pocket watch with the ability to turn back time. And if finding a sin-infused article, outmaneuvering Lexi, dealing with Blue—’cause that’s just their life now—and saving the world wasn’t enough on their to-do list, add dealing with answers to decade-old questions. As past secrets and present consequences collide, an Old West showdown, literally, in the park changes everything. Kanyon sacrifices herself and her most meaningful role ever to save Daylen’s life. Guardian – Seeker no more, the only question left to answer is “Can true love really conquer all?” Only time will tell …
