Overview: I have been a social studies teacher, principal, and founding owner of the Grand Canyon College Preparatory Academy in Tempe, Arizona. I grew up reading and watching science and historical fiction. I am also a big baseball fan. I have combined my various passions in the Jigsaw series, which focuses on time-traveling teens thrust into major historical events—many of which never made the standard history books. I was born in New York and now live in Arizona with the love of my life Gwyn. We are both are dog people, and enjoy travel and food—Italian, Asian, Middle Eastern and Indian cuisines in particular.

1. Jigsaw Beginnings
They’re high school students off to Italy for a good time. Transported in time to WWII, can they stop a secret, military project that will change the course of history?
High school history buffs Noah Patterson and Mariah Fischer can’t wait to get to Italy. Their plan? To explore as much as they can and have loads of fun. What they face, however, is mind blowing when they get shot at by the Italian Black Brigade. Why? Not because they want them dead, but because the Black Brigade ceased to exist after World War II.
Running for their lives, they quickly realize that they’ve somehow been transported to Italy, circa 1943. But how?
Humiliated by defeat and rescued by Hitler, Mussolini plans to win the war at all cost. Pushing forward relentlessly, he has a secret weapon: teleportation. But a failed experiment with the device draws Noah and Mariah back in time. Now they must find a way to stop Mussolini’s “New Roman Empire” and return to the present they know—if it’s still there. The fight for reality starts now…
2. Jigsaw Warheads
Pulled back into the fight, they need to travel in time to 1860 and stop a mysterious faction from planting the seed that will cause the rise of a Fascist World Order.
It’s years after the Second World War, and Noah and Francesca are happily planning their wedding. That is, until Mariah shows up to recruit them for another mission. But this time, the odds stacked against them are even higher and the threat much more deadly.
A shadow organization called Novus Ordo is using time travel to change the future by altering the past. Their aim: to create a global Fascist state. Digging deep, our heroes discover that Colonel Angelo and a mysterious Suzerain — a man who just may be immortal, are behind the plot.
To stop them, the team travels to 1860 Italy with one objective in mind: to guarantee that the Unification of Italy comes off without a hitch, and then stop Novus Ordo from starting World War III in 1945. If they fail, America will fall, and a Fascist World Order will reign supreme.
3. Jigsaw Full Circle
Having thwarted the conspiracy to derail the Unification, the future of the free world is still not set. With Novus Ordo taking stolen technology back to 1936, the outcome of the war will be disastrous. Can our heroes stop them in time and guarantee victory for the Allied forces?
Determined to fulfill their vision of a totalitarian world regime, Novus Ordo raids the Noble Library at Arizona State University and steals modern weapons’ plans and information on the lost Marconi Death Ray. With the information in hand, they travel back to 1936 to create a crushing military advantage for their nascent Fascist world state.
Noah, Francesca, and the expanding team chase them into the past in a race against time to stop Novus Ordo from using stolen twenty-first century secrets to alter the course of World War II. If they fail, the Allied invasion of Sicily – code named Operation Husky – will certainly fail and history will be rewritten.
