Overview: Hey guys…

thanks for stopping by.

I have now written more than twenty books, some of which are out there, and some not, and that’s both fiction and non fiction.

My favourite characters (of mine) are Inspector Walter Darriteau who operates out of Chester in the north-west of England and you can see him in The Murder Diaries Seven Times Over, The Sound of Sirens, The Twelfth Apostle, Kissing a Killer, The Death Broker, and the latest one being, The Legal and the Illicit.

And then there is the philandering man, Gringo Greene, who features in the Life and Loves of Gringo Greene. Gringo Greene has been a very naughty boy, but more of that later.
Genre: Fiction > Mystery/Thriller

The Inspector Walter Darriteau Murder Mysteries – Books 1-4

1. The Murder Diaries – Seven Times Over.
There is a killer on the loose in the ancient city of Chester. A random killer, a serial killer, a maniac who kills without an apparent motive.

Inspector Walter Darriteau and Sergeant Karen Greenwood are hot on the case, eager to apprehend the killer before he or she strikes again.

2. The Sound of Sirens.
Luke Flowers has always been a small time crook and he sure started young. Copying software, dealing drugs, living on the margins of society, playing the big man, forever in trouble with the law, going nowhere until he opts for a big career change.

Killing people pays well, and the respect coming his way, and the girls, is a drug in all of itself.

He’s chosen his path, oblivious to where it might lead, as the sound of sirens echoes out across the old city in this gritty thriller that keeps the reader riveted to the very end.

3. The Twelfth Apostle.
This chunky story takes the reader into the dirty world of human trafficking and modern day slavery.

A young woman’s body is dumped outside the swimming baths and Walter and Karen are there in a flash.

With subplots aplenty, The Twelfth Apostle is a roller coaster ride, as the reader sits on Walter’s shoulder and watches the case unfold.

4. Kissing a Killer.
In a remote spot on the city boundary down by the twisting River Dee, an old caravan bursts into flames. A young woman perishes in a hideous death. But is it an accident, suicide or murder?

In another part of town Belinda Cooper has given up on men. Far more trouble than they’re worth. During an horrendous thunderstorm she detects an intruder in her home.

Belinda’s a feisty woman, a Cheshire Hunt veteran, and reverts into hunting mode, as the prowler becomes the hunted.

Walter is on the trail – a case that will take him to places that he couldn’t begin to imagine.

The Inspector Walter Darriteau Cases – Books 5-8

The Legal & the Illicit: is a sweeping novel following four generations of the Ridge family from the 1930s to the present day. They rise from nothing to gain great power and influence. Set against a background of the ruthless commodity trading world, the family believes they can to do as they wish, until they meet Walter Darriteau. The men may think they rule the roost, but six strong female characters have other ideas about that.

Five Dead Rooks: Bilk Thomas runs a Chester city centre nightclub. It’s early Wednesday morning as Bilk makes his way home. He’s not been in the house five minutes when the doorbell rings. Who the heck comes ringing the doorbell at 2am? He goes to the door. A conversation follows. Bilk lets a man in. Would you let a stranger into your house at 2am? And if you did, it’s good advice to never turn your back on a stranger.

Old Cold Bones: Corley Crabb is almost thirty. He lives alone in a tiny flat and has few friends. On a blazing English summer afternoon, Corley disappears without a trace. Only a work colleague, Sandy Goldy, appears that concerned. Enough to visit Chester’s central police station, where she shares her worries with the desk sergeant. Walter Darriteau is coming back in and overhears the end of the conversation. There is something desperate in her pleading words, and Walter wants to know more.

Falling: Walter Darriteau has been dreaming of the 1980s, and a massive case that taught him so much. He can’t stop thinking about it. Two huge crooked families at war, and one brutal murder that started it all off. But Mrs West, his boss, wants him to concentrate on something she’s picked up. A Chester secret society with an agenda all of their own. Walter thinks it’s a waste of time, but when he investigates, he can’t believe what he discovers.
