Overview: London, December 1944. Emy hate India. She has lost her parents, 16 years earlier. And now that resurfaces the past. Incidentally, Emy becomes aware of the diary her mother, Amelia, young woman resigned, barely out of the principles of Victorian England, and confronted through a so-called indecent, India in the wake of her own sensuality. January 1930. Amélie arrives with Emy on the first cruise ship bound for Bombay to find Thomas, her husband, Captain in the army of India to Khalapour in the Rajasthan. But the reunion is disappointing, Thomas seems to have changed, unless this is Amelia, strong proven by the suffocating heat in this area at the edge of the Thar desert. Fortunately, there is Kenneth Lowther, a friend of Thomas, atheist philosopher and tutor to the Royal children, who tries to explain to Amelia the disconcerting India, religion, customs and the magnificence of the maharajas.
- Set in colonial India, India Dreams is a story of social and sexual awakening in the spirit of Djinn.
