Overview: My life has been guided by “why,” “how,” and “what.” To that end, I have degrees in geology, education, and library science and enough classes in various science disciplines that I can honestly say, “Jack of all sciences, master of none.” I can also look at it as I know just enough to be a danger to myself and others.
I have spent most of my life teaching science, both in and out of the classroom. I have also worked as a naturalist, a librarian, a clerk in a small grocery store for my grandfather, and picking fruit on a truck farm. I also do not believe in retiring. I still substitute teach, and now I am exploring writing. Who knows what is around the next corner?

Library of the Apocalypse (#4)
Maggie Chambers was the librarian of a very different sort of small-town library. She and her husband, Howard Stalter, had long felt that society was hanging on by just a thread and that, eventually, something was going to happen to push it over the edge. They didn’t know what or when, but they were determined to be prepared to help themselves first and then the people of their small town when it did.
When disaster finally did strike, in the form of a CME, their well-thought-out plans seemed to fall apart. Was all their advance planning pointless, or could they still salvage it for the greater good?
Library of the Apocalypse 2 (#5)
Get ready for an adventure!
Part 1 of Library Of The Apocalypse 2 introduces Dick Stone, who was down in Kentucky for a few days helping his parents get ready for planting on their small farm when news of the imminent CME reached the airwaves. He had to hurry home to his wife, Emily, and their two children in Ohio. It should have been such an easy thing. Just a couple of hours up the expressway and across the bridge—but when you add panicked people into the equation, nothing is ever easy…
Part 2 brings Dick Stone to Howard and Maggie’s farm for safety’s sake, where his neighbors have banded together for survival and protection from the lawless after the CME. It surprised them how evil some men could be when there was no longer any formal rule of law and seemingly no consequences for anything.
