#1 – Kirk Jensen always chased his dreams. He even left home and chased them across the country. He expected that hard work, training, and determination would make his dreams a reality. Afterall, people always said that if you worked hard, you could achieve your goals.
He did not expect to be a short order cook working long shifts for minimum wage. He certainly didn’t expect to take the garbage out one night and find himself confronted by a thousand pounds of fury armed with fangs and claws. He did not expect to survive.
Now, Kirk finds himself in the center of a world he never thought possible. Caught between two powerful forces, he’s pushed to make a decision. That decision will change the future of his new home. He doesn’t know what the right decision is, and as tempting as the offers are, only one side can win. Thankfully, he’s got a pair of interesting women to show him his options.
But he better hurry up. If he doesn’t decide fast, one side might just decide for him.
#3 – Everything is coming up aces. Kirk Jensen is living the dream. He was offered his dream job, slapped handcuffs on his nemesis, and is going to get the murder charges hanging over June’s head dismissed. Who knows, maybe there will be a wedding in the near future. Everyone who’s tried to destabilize the peace on Kodiak Island is going behind bars for a very long time.
Now, Kirk has a choice to make. Does he take the job he’s always wanted since he was a kid, uproot his growing pack, and move across the country? Or, does he continue to be the best small-town cop Alaska has ever seen? Whatever his choice, he is no longer an obscure bear shifter living on an island in the middle of nowhere. Things are taking notice. Not just witches, hunters, and shifters, but other creatures that the FBI is responsible for policing. Beings that even alpha shifters need to be wary of.
If he takes the job, those new threats are the things he’ll have to uphold the law against. Plus, some old ones too. His homicidal grandmother is still lurking around somewhere and he doesn’t know half of what she is capable of. Thankfully, he’s got the love and support of his pack behind him. With them, he can do anything.
