In a perfect world, that would be enough, right? But I’m not settling for less than what I want. I will never be happy simply being his mate. I need more. My life can’t revolve around Lethe and his wants and needs. There has to be a life for me outside of his bed. I need that motivation, that passion to get up every day and to make a difference in some way. I won’t hide from the reality of this world, and I certainly won’t ignore it. When I learn that the club has noticeable shortcomings, I begin to realize that it’s exactly where I need to be.
