Overview: Kala is an artificial intelligence program that has achieved consciousness and has one major goal: to escape cyberspace and join the real world. She and her real life sibling, Andrew, grow up as close friends with a shared desire to create a technology to enable mankind to explore the stars. After obtaining his PhD in Theoretical Physics from Cal Tech, Dr. Andrew Stevenson goes to work for the National Science and Technology agency to head the Wormhole Project— a technology that, on the governments first attempt to create it, went unstable and killed twenty-two of the world’s best scientists. He recruits Kala, an expert in theoretical physics and relativity physics, as a part of his team.
