Overview: Derek Deremer continues his pursuit of educating America’s youth. He hails from the outskirts of Pittsburgh. After learning that he could actually major in writing stories and reading books, he studied English at Westminster College. Typically you can find him reading, playing a video game, diagramming a sentence, or something else nerdy. Dean Culver was born into a small, suburban family living in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, PA. After attending high school, the search for a sense of purpose guided Dean to engineering school at RIT in Rochester, where he studied mechanical engineering, the German Language, and applied mathematics. However, as much as he devoted time and energy to his studies, Dean found creative outlets in many other arenas, including writing. Initially simply an outlet for philosophical musings and introspective critique, his writing expanded into other genres, including adventure fiction.
