Overview: Paul C. Doherty is an award-winning British author, educator, lecturer and historian. He is a prolific writer and has produced many series of historic novels set in a wide variety of eras and locales. This series is set in Britain in the late 1200s and features Hugh Corbett, a chief clerk to King Edward I, Keeper of the King’s Seal, spymaster and investigator of politically sensitive crimes.
