Overview: This new book has explored the key mistakes made by Hitler that doomed the German defense of Normandy to ensure the success of the D-Day Invasion on June 6, 1944. Hitler made the mistake of having ordered none of his generals to make a decision because he alone would order what to do to stop the invasion when the Allies invaded. Therefore, precious hours were lost while Hitler, as usual, slept late on the morning of June 6 and his aides were afraid to wake him. This was crucial because the key to hurling the invaders into the sea was to launch an immediate counterattack. In consequence, the German counterattack was not forthcoming and the D-Day Invasion succeeded.
