The clansmen of the realm are kind to Harper. But that can change in an instant. She’s beginning to understand that Elphame isn’t the Scotland of the past. It is a place on a parallel existence with her homeworld. The creatures of Elphame evolved differently than the animals of the earth. There are a lot of changes, a lot of surprises.
