Hidden Realms: Book of Týr by Ronald Pauley (Hidden Realms)
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 634 kB
Overview: The ancient gods were nearly forgotten when the divine spirits felt his presence, singing his name to the realms. His father, an Elder Jötnar and Lord of the Middle Realm, named him Týr. As the smallest son of Hymir the Great, he grew up to appreciate a hard day’s work, his mother’s stew, and the valley of his birth, Mother’s Heart.
Upon Týr’s coming of age, he quickly discovers a life filled with love, deceptions, challenges, and regrets. Haunted by divine revelation, he embarks on his preordained path to eternal glory as the God of War.
Author Note: I had a blast creating a very emotional story about the life of Týr, his becoming a god, and his dealings with Loki, Odin, Thor, and dozens of other characters from Norse Mythology. My story explains why Týr died fighting Garm at the Gates of Helheim during Ragnarok, and though I follow the Edda, I try to keep it realistic where possible. I don’t wholly agree with the Norse God Family Tree interpretations, so where the Edda’s suggest Njord and Njorun were one and the same (Mystical Heremaphordites), I logically assume they were just brother and sister twins. The same goes for Freya and Frigg being twins rather than speculating them as one and the same.
