Overview: Caroline Bingley and Elizabeth Bennet are raised in the wrong homes:

You witness the switch in the prologue. In this variation you learn about the Bingleys, Bennets, and Darcys in the early chapters. In Chapter four we meet the almost eighteen year old Elizabeth Bennet, who was raised as Caroline Bingley, the summer before she enters society. During the season in London she is frequently in company with her brother’s friend Mr. Darcy who she respects, but does not always like. The Bingley’s visit Pemberley on their way to Charles’ estate in Herfordshire for their first visit in many years.
Darcy is Smitten. Caroline, who believes she is Miss Elizabeth, is determined. George Wickham causes trouble. Lady Catherine is incorrigible. Anne is odd. The Colonel is helpful. And Our Dear Couple manage a happy ending. Almost everyone gets what they most desire, but what they want doesn’t always result in happiness. I do hope that it results in your amusement. I certainly enjoyed writing it. I ask you to forgive its imperfections and laugh with me at the secondary characters as we follow a different love story for Our Dear Couple.
