Requirements: .ePUB Reader, 2.1 MB
Overview: I started writing while I was stationed at Ft Bragg NC. I’ve always been an avid reader and I bought a fantasy adventure (can’t even remember the name of it now) but after reading a few chapters thought "I can write better than this!" And I started. Bought a Brother word processor. This was in the early 90’s. Who knew computers were actually going to be a thing?
Genre: Fiction > Sci-Fi/Fantasy

Sometimes nightmares aren’t just dreams.

The military called his illness Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, but the truth about the nightmares that drove Special Operation Sergeant Jack Braedan to the brink of insanity and beyond was much more sinister. Now his nightmares have manifested in the waking world and his life will never be the same. In an effort to rid himself once and for all of the dreams that stalk him, Braedan finds himself transported to a world starkly different from his own. It is a world where magic is real, demons seek the destruction of men, and sorcerers are opposed by Lords sworn to protect the earth. It is a world threatened by a reawakened evil where a powerful talisman holds the key to salvation or destruction, and only Jack Braedan can wield its power. If he just has to figure out why.

Befriended by pirates and accepted into the Free Brothers of the sea, Braedan has no way of knowing it is but the first step in the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy, guiding him on a path to confront a long dormant evil rising again in the east. Surviving demons, dark sorcerers and crucifixion at the hands a scheming duke, Braeden learns he is the exiled descendant of Aralon’s last High King, heir to the vacant Throne of Immer and the Highsword Yhswyndyr, a divine weapon meant for his hands alone and the only weapon capable of defeating the dark-King Graith, who will soon awaken from his long sleep.

Now his friend Tarsus Aernin, the uncrowned king of Amar, has been captured and taken to Aghash Thugar, the seat of the dark-King’s power. Jack must face the horrors of the Bergaweld and the gathering forces of the east to rescue Tarsus, or die trying. It is a decision that with either help him along the path to claim his birthright, or plunge Aralon into slavery and death.

3. Burden of Stones
Jack Braedan has defeated the traitorous Duke Kiathan Ellgaer and is the new Swordmaster of Aralon. He has announced his claim to the Throne of Immer and the Highsword Yhswyndyr before the gathered kings of the Whesguard. But the usurper Kiathan does not plan to give up his power without a fight.

Now a race begins to reach Dorshev, capital city of Doridan. Jack must catch Duke Kiathan before he reaches the capital and save the kingdom of Princess Annawyn Ellgereth, or risk a civil war and that will weaken the Whesguard Alliance. The dark-King Graith has awakened in the east and is preparing for a war that will decide the fate of Aralon. Only Jack Braedan, last descendant of the High King can defeat him. But he must save Doridan before he can travel to Lordsisle and claim Yhswyndyr or there will be no hope of opposing the power of the Bloodstone and the dark-King will march on the west and plunge Aralon into darkness and slavery.
