Recently retired and widowed at 55, Dan Murphy is looking to change his life style. He has moved to San Diego and bought a new house. Now all he needs is a stud with which to share his dream home. His friends in La Jolla have told him about Daddy’s Boys Bar where the handsome young men are there for the picking even if you have to pay some of them.
Dan is attracted the bar’s pool shark, Gerry Blunt, only to learn he is fresh out of prison for burglary and on probation. When Dan finds out Gerry is a budding artist he overlooks his past and decides to give the dark handsome bad boy a chance. It’s almost love at first sight until the La Jolla cat burglar, who, secretly hates Gerry, sneaks into Dan’s house and steals his jewelry after watching Gerry leave early the next morning to go work on his paintings at his own apartment.
Feeling utter betrayed, Dan confronts Gerry believing he is the one who stole his jewelry and is also the La Jolla cat burglar who is breaking into rich older gay men’s homes in La Jolla. He demands Gerry return his rings or he will file a complaint with the police . . . thus begins the wild ride though biker bars and pools halls as Gerry tries to prove he isn’t the La Jolla cat burglar, but no one will listen. With a return to prison looming over him, Gerry has his back against the wall and only Dan, his accurse to turn to for help.
