Hawk Trilogy (#1-3) by Justine Davis

Overview: Author biographies are supposed to give you all those statistics, books written, awards won, etc. and I will, I promise…but first let me tell you about this ornery little tomboy (back then, the boys had all the fun…) who was always the one to make up the stories the neighborhood kids would "play". For those who came of age in the computer game era, this is something that was done usually in the backyard, by any number of summer-bored children, with props where appropriate. (Did you know a 55 gallon drum tied to a picnic bench makes a very cool horse?) It wasn’t until much later that this tomboy realized two things: A) not everyone made up stories in their heads all the time, and B) in real life, the boys that had already had all the fun now seemed to always be winning.
Genre: Fiction > Romance > Paranormal
Wild Hawk (Hawk #1):
Jason Hawk is the sole heir to a fortune he refuses to inherit, left by a wealthy father whom he always despised. Kendall Chase, his father’s assistant, is determined to show Jason his rightful destiny by way of a mysterious book. Yet, as their mutual attraction grows, they remain unaware of the danger that threatens to tear them apart.
Heart of the Hawk (Hawk #2):
The second book in the Hawk trilogy takes readers by the heart and leads them to a place where love makes everything possible. This western romance is tinged with magic, as a woman desperate for salvation finds an unexpected passion with a notorious gunfighter, a man as hard and cold as the polished steel barrel of his six-shooter.
Fire Hawk (Hawk #3):
The RITA® Award winning final book in The Hawk Trilogy! (standalone novel)
She’ll become the warrior’s woman to save her people.
In a time of legends, wizards, mists, and magic, the Hawk clan’s ancient spell of protection surrounding their secluded and peaceful forest is weakening. When a vicious warlord threatens the clan’s existence, their only hope lies in finding a great warrior with the skills to save them. The task falls to Jenna, but convincing a legendary warrior who has buried his sword to save her people will cost her everything.
Kane has a past filled with betrayal and a prophecy that warns him taking up the sword again will mean his death. Despite the danger, he’s unable to completely refuse Jenna’s plea for help. He agrees to train her in the arts of war in return for her innocence. All too late he realizes he’s made a fool’s bargain; he wants much more than her body. She owns his soul, and that may cost him his life.
