Overview: I was born in London and describe myself as almost a Cockney, my birthplace being just out of earshot of the Bow Bells. Now settled in East Devon, my career as a writer began when, as a member of an amateur dramatic group unable to find suitable material to perform, I decided to create something myself. I ended up writing three murder mystery plays. For many years, I concentrated on short stories and enjoy writing in a variety of genres.

1. Happy Deathday
The Problem…the Earth’s ozone layer is set to be destroyed by a gamma ray explosion from a distant star. In one mighty blast, the Earth will be engulfed by the relentless searing heat of the Sun.
The Solution…build a vast underground structure, a breeding colony, to save the Human Race from extinction to accommodate 6,570 young men and women…the Chosen.
The Hope…that one day the Chosen will rise up, from the depths, to the surface and set about re-populating the Earth. But not today…never today.
Jonathan and Sarah have had their eighteen years in the Colony and their Deathdays are fast approaching. One is born every day; one dies every day. That is the way of the Colony. Like Jonathan, Sarah has successfully completed her breeding programme, a soulless clinical procedure and is ready to re-join the Colony and prepare for her Deathday – a time of celebration when, the contribution each colonist has made to its mission, is fulfilled. It’s a moment of glory, a moment of recognition, a moment of…sacrifice. It’s all they have. This is your destiny. That’s what they’ve always been told.
But when Jonathan, a model colonist, loses a week’s supply of his Supplement…the Supplement he believes contains only vitamins and minerals, he starts to realise that he’s been dead for years…walking the corridors of the City in a drug-induced haze of compliance. Without its influence, Jonathan begins to experience all the signs of puberty. He starts noticing things that he’s never noticed before, in particular Sarah. With his body no longer under his control, Jonathan struggles with his attraction to her and his growing sexual awareness.
He also notices Zack, a Security Response Unit officer and two things become apparent. One… that Zack, and an ever-increasing number of SRU officers, are becoming a threat to the Colony. And two…Zack has designs on Sarah. Fuelled by love, jealousy and the hormones his body’s been denied for years, Jonathan takes him on. But his biggest enemy is not Zack, it’s time itself. And time is running out…fast. Sometimes your destiny is not enough.
2. Resurrection
On the inside…Sarah is trapped in the Colony, held prisoner by Zack and the Fulcrum. Believing that Jonathan is dead, she battles against an overpowering grief and Zack’s growing obsession with her. She has to do something…before it’s too late. But she can’t do it, alone. As Sarah struggles to find people she can trust to help combat the threatened takeover, she starts to piece together the terrifying truth about the Colony’s fragile existence.
On the outside…Jonathan prepares to do the unthinkable…to go back inside and rescue Sarah from Zack’s clutches. But all those, over the centuries, who have tried to break through the Colony’s impenetrable defence system, have never returned. With this chilling fact clawing at his consciousness, Jonathan prepares to face the unknown. His only companion in this suicidal mission, the enigmatic Oli, who has her own reasons for risking all. BUT time is still the enemy…and it’s running out. The colony is about to go into meltdown.
3. Viral City
22/06/3042. The Colony is no more, reduced to ashes by an inferno. What remains of it has been filled in and returned to the Earth. However, for some, the last days within its walls are not so easily erased. Now, facing an uncertain future, they must forget the past and make their way to the city of Resurrection hoping to build a new life.
But the colonists were not the only thing that escaped that day. Struggling to come to terms with the revelation that she is pregnant Sarah, alone, knows the terrible truth. A deadly mutated flu virus has been let loose after centuries of containment and is about to threaten the survival of everyone in its path.
And its arrival will set off a devastating chain of events that will have far-reaching consequences for the destiny of the whole of humanity. It must be stopped. But … How can you defeat an enemy you can’t see?
