Karly Jones is a sweet girl filled with insecurities and Dylan Miller is the sexy badass who fights to free her from her life of insecurities and pain.
Cassidy Holms left California after the unexpected death of her father. They were close. They did everything together and when her father passed, Cass fell into a spiral of pain and depression. To end the vicious cycle, Cass moved halfway across the country to be close to her sister and her sister’s family. The town she moved to was charming, small but definitely the change she needed in her life to start new.
Cass had seen plenty of photos of Drake but had never seen him in person. She was drawn to him, with his vibrant blue eyes in those photos and was in no way prepared for the moment she looked up and got caught in Drake’s gaze. It was instant for her, him too and though it took two weeks for Drake to make a move, it didn’t take long after for things to get serious.
But there is something in Drake’s life that could tear them apart, that could kill one or both of them. But Drake can’t tell Cass what it is. If he did, it could mean Cass could die at the hands of a cold and ruthless man. So Drake tells Cass as much as he can, a half-truth of what he is involved in hoping the double life he is leading ends before everything goes sideways and he loses the only woman he has ever loved.
