Overview: Green Lantern: Rebirth follows the "rebirth" of the Silver Age Green Lantern Hal Jordan as he overcomes fear itself in the form of the cosmic entity Parallax. The series starred various members of the intergalactic police force known as the Green Lantern Corps. It revived elements of the Green Lantern mythos including the Guardians of the Universe, Kilowog and the villain Sinestro, while introducing new concepts such as the emotional spectrum.

Issue 1:
Hal Jordan returns as the Green Lantern. The tragic events that restores the former test pilot to the position of Green Lantern of Earth’s space sector begin when a spaceship crash-lands in rural New Mexico. Features past & current GL such as Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner, John Stewart and Hal Jordan.
Issue 2:
The "yellow" impurity that always limited the Green Lantern Corps’ central power battery led inevitably to the destruction of that intergalactic force for good and peace. With the power battery destroyed, that impurity now grows in power and begins exerting its will in the physical universe. The impurity within the Green Lantern’s rings begins to exert its will and first Guy Gardner, then John Stewart and then Kilowog fall under its evil influence!
Issue 3:
Every comic fan knows that the Green Lantern’s mighty power rings used to have an important vulnerability: they couldn’t affect anything colored yellow. However, readers have not known up to this point the origin of that flaw. As Hal struggles to regain his lost humanity, we learn that the yellow vulnerability has its roots at the beginning of the universe.
As Ganthet, the last remain Oan Guardian, protects the perfectly preserved corpse of Hal Jordan from an assault launched by Green Lantern Kilowog, we learn that Parallax has steadily increased his influence over the GL Corps (including most graphically Hal Jordan) and now threatens to use the power of that heroic organization to once again rain terror on the universe. And now Parallax has revived an old ally; the renegade Green Lantern named Sinestro!
Issue 4:
Sinestro has Kyle Rayner and Green Arrow on the run in the JLA Watchtower. Meanwhile, the soul of Hal Jordan, mixed with the avenging soul of the Spectre, but tainted by Parallax is desperately trying to escape. But even the power of Ganthet, the Oan, and Hal Jordan’s friends the JLA, the JSA and the Teen Titans can’t do it for him. Jordan has to shed the fear at the heart of his impurity himself. Once he succeeds, the original Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, lives again! And Sinestro is his first target.
Issue 5:
Now that Hal Jordan is alive again and wielding a GL ring, he battles Sinestro who is one of his greatest adversary. The aftermath of the battle has Hal Jordan gathering up the remaining Green Lanterns to bring the fight to Parallax.
Issue 6:
The conclusion to the limited series that redeems Hal Jordan and brings him back as Green Lantern
