Outbreak (Book 2)
With nowhere left to run—where will you go? Most of the world’s population is either dead or dying from a virus that looks a lot like the one Bree and Nate tried to destroy—and not all of them remain dead. Chased by hordes of zombies, they flee the city with what remains of their merry band of miscreants. But even when most of them survive the first day, they are far from safe—because there is no safe place left. The fight for survival forces them to become resourceful, and soon they realize that the undead might not be their only problem. In this new world, it’s each man or woman out for themselves—and just because someone has a pulse doesn’t necessarily mean they make a good ally. Yet there is hope—a bunker in Wyoming, outfitted with weapons and food, and above all else, defensible shelter for the winter. Can they survive the two-thousand-miles trip across the country with nothing but the clothes on their back and what they can scavenge along they way? This is not the kind of challenge that Bree ever imagined she would have to face, but she’s determined to survive—even if that means to learn how to on the job.
Escalation (Book 3)
Is anybody out there? After a long winter spent hunkering down in Wyoming, Bree, Nate, and the gang are back on the road. The harsh temperatures up in the northern regions might have decimated the undead scourge somewhat, but soon they have to face reality: it’s not just zombies that are out there to hunt people down and kill them. For humanity to have a fighting chance to rebuild a semblance of civilization, everyone will have to work together—and resources are scarce. Someone will have to go out there and face the danger—and maybe find out what happened to the undead that were smart enough to flee the cold. Only the strong and smart have survived, making everyday life just a little more deadly for everyone.
Extinction (Book 4)
If you need some zombies killed, who do you call? The Lucky Thirteen. A few weeks have passed since the events in Aurora, and Bree, Nate, and the gang are back on the road. The odd mall to raid, cattle to herd, provisions to deliver—all no match for our trusty group of scavengers. The world is yours for the taking when killing zombies becomes routine. Yet with temperatures rising in late spring, a new menace appears on the post-apocalyptic theater of war. Roving bands, thousands of zombies strong are scouring the country, and already the first settlements are going dark. In a world where every human life is valuable, losing hundreds at once is not an option. What makes the zombies band together like that—and, more importantly, why are the tough ones even harder to kill than mere months ago? Bree may wish that she’s just paranoid, but she can’t shake the suspicion that finding a cure may not be the only cause the government is pouring resources into. But to what end?
Unity (Book 6)
United we stand, divided we fall. Once again reunited, the Lucky Thirteen set out to hunt down their adversaries—only to be met with an entirely new set of unexpected obstacles. As much as Bree is burning to finally get her revenge, it soon becomes obvious that on their own they are no match for the forces opposing them. With giving up not an option, they will have to find a way to bolster their numbers—or failing that, make the ultimate sacrifice.
Exodus (Book 9)
They are here to find the cure—in a secret laboratory hidden underneath a metropolis overrun by zombies. What could possibly go wrong? Finding the French Resistance was only the first step in achieving their mission. With impossible odds looming ahead, Bree is forced to bury the hatchet and work with Bucky Hamilton and his men to get to their destination—a secret underground lab previously part of the serum project that might just hold the most valuable thing on earth: a cure for the zombie virus. Too bad that it’s located in Paris, a city that had a population ranging in the millions before the apocalypse happened—and as they are to find out soon, things went down very different in Europe from what they have gotten used to in the States. Can they find the cure—and can they even get to where it might be stored? And, more importantly—is the cure the actual reason Hamilton was sent to breach that lab? Time will tell—if they don’t run out of people first.
