Overview:GRAPHISOFT ArchiCAD 27 is a powerful modeling application that allows architects to design buildings more efficiently using Virtual Building technology. ArchiCAD allows architects to concentrate on design, performing this work independently or in a team, while exchanging data with consultants and specialists in other fields. With ArchiCAD you will discover the benefits of architectural design in 3D space and enjoy incredible freedom in your work.
In ArchiCAD, a 3D building information model is created, from which all necessary documents and images are automatically generated. The project comes to life and develops on the screen simultaneously with the work of your thoughts, allowing you to focus on creativity. Building information modeling is the most natural and intuitive design approach, and with clear 3D designs, clients will be impressed with your creativity.
• Introduction to the MORP tool. ArchiCAD has a new tool called "MORPH" (MORPH) and designed for free modeling.
• Components of the MORPH tool. Objects created by the MORPHE tool consist of three components: a node (vertex), an edge, and a surface.
• Creation of a polygonal MORP object. The first way to build a MORPHE object is polygonal. Using it, you can build a closed contour; in fact, a MORPH face.
• Creation of a polygonal 3D MORP object. A polygonal object is not tied to a plane in any way: any node can occupy any position in space, thus creating a spatial polygon.
• Creation of rectangular, arc and closed MORPH elements. In general, there are four types of MORP element construction: "rectangle" and "rotated rectangle" to create straight elements, "center and radius" and "points on a curve" to create curved elements.
• Create a 3D painting from MORPH elements. The Box construction method creates a solid object. The first two points define the base of the box and the third defines the height.
• Creation of rounded MORPH elements. And the third construction method is rounding. It is built in three steps and you must first set up a profile.
• Selection of sub-elements. Each MORP element consists of sub-elements that can be selected for further work. Select multiple sub-items. In this case, you can select multiple sub-items at once.
• Elimination of MORF subelements. At any time, the selected MORPh sub-element can be deleted, thus editing the structure of the MORPh object.
• Work with edges and surfaces. In this case, you can add new geometry to an existing MORPLE element: a face, surface, or solid object.
• MORPH elevation adjustment. Like any other 3D object, a MORPLE object can be given an elevation; this parameter is called Base Height.
• Visualization of MORPHE elements on the plan. On a floor plan, a MORPH element is displayed as a 3D projection, just like roofs or complex structures.
• Configuration of coatings for the MORPH element. In the MORPH element parameters dialog box, you can specify a base coating material, which is then applied to all faces of the object.
• Configuration of methods to divide faces of MORPLE elements. Any face of a MORPH element has three construction modes, which affect the principles of surface formation and their visualization.
• Change the border textures of MORPH elements. The default method for applying a texture to a MORPH object is boxing. But the user can set their own overlay method for each face, up to spherical overlay.
• Change the origin and direction of the MORPH element textures. For each face of a MORPH element, you can set its own starting point of texture spread and its rotation angle.
• Move a node from the MORP body. Any node of a MORPH element can move freely in space, thus changing the overall structure of the volume and joining other nodes and object faces.
ArchiCAD significantly changes the capabilities of the average user by allowing the use of third-party BIM components in their projects. Along with this cloud-based database, new modeling capabilities in ArchiCAD allow architects to create, search, upload and download new BIM components for use in their projects. The web portal, fully integrated into ArchiCAD, is a single center for the exchange of BIM components between users. BIMcomponents . com It also provides a central location for all GDL objects, making them available to all ArchiCAD users whenever they need them. Everything in the construction industry is constantly changing: new materials, designs, ideas and technologies appear every day. Building components are arguably one of the fastest growing areas in the construction BIM industry. The GDL technology used in ArchiCAD is a powerful professional tool for creating highly intelligent parametric elements. However, not all users are ready to create their own GDL objects. It is to them that the fundamental changes that have occurred in ArchiCAD are addressed! Now any user can not only model their object in volume, but also upload the created BIM component to a single object database in the cloud.
For newly added objects, a unique description is created, according to which other users, using keywords, can instantly find not only this object, but also dozens of similar ones. Then all that remains is to select the necessary elements for your BIM project and download them with one click. It is unique that all the described operations are carried out within ArchiCAD – the program provides a complete set of tools for creating, searching, uploading and downloading objects directly from the Objects dialog box! Furthermore, all published BIM objects can be found on the specialized web portal BIMcomponents . com , which provides the necessary tools for self-organization of the ArchiCAD user community: comments, object ratings, updates, etc. /download BIM components and the new site is a single centralized resource for the exchange of GDL objects.
All modern buildings and projects must be environmentally friendly and energy efficient – this is our contribution to the future of the planet. We believe that the main decisions about the ecological and energy efficiency of a building should be made by architects in the initial stages of project work, and not by engineers, when changes are much more difficult to make. In its programs, GRAPHISOFT continues to develop the "green" direction and introduce environmental analysis tools into the BIM design environment. The new functionality for energy efficiency analysis integrated into ArchiCAD (e.g. analysis of the geometry of a building model across zone boundaries, analysis of climatic conditions, etc.) is similar to the standalone software product EcoDesigner™previously supplied, but is now based on a completely new technology that allows dynamic models to be analyzed using BIM geometry, hourly weather information and building location data.
Energy analysis:
— Prepare a building model for analysis.
— General modeling rules.
— Work with zones
— Energy model overview
— Show a list of structures
— Show a list of vacancies
— View the building’s energy model.
— Display color settings
— U-parameter calculator
— Thermal parameter settings
— Materials catalog
— Working with multi-layer structures and U-parameters
— Reassignment of the U-parameter
– Leak detection
— Definition of surfaces
— Assembly of glass structures and frames.
— Set shadows and shadow objects.
— Environmental environments: location and climate.
— Environmental settings: level, ground and environment.
— Work with profiles
— Work with the building structure.
— Establish the energy source and energy price.
— Working with “green” building energy
