Overview: It’s the story of a young British schoolgirl in a shit town, with a shit family and a shit social life. You know, typical /90s teen Vertigo character. But we learn quickly that she’s an untrustworthy narrator, a conceit that I’ve come to relish within the last few years. You’ll find them in "Catcher in the Rye" and "Fight Club," for instance. She has conversations with her dog, insects, inanimate objects, etc., as they try to drill some sense into her head. Her delusions are efforts of her brain trying to right a sinking ship.
