#2 The Cybelene Conspiracy
A eunuch archpriest and an unscrupulous senator smuggle products from China to Ravenna, the Roman Capital in A.D. 440, never realizing they are changing the course of Western History. The second in the acclaimed Getorius and Arcadia Mysteries.

#3 Death at Pergamum
October, A.D.440: Roman Surgeon Getorius Asterius, his wife, Arcadia, and Brisios, their slave, arrive at Constantinople with guide, Herakles, and his five Roman clients. Caught in a bread riot, they flee aboard a galley sailing to the Asklepion, a pagan healing center at Pergamum. Priest-Physician Apollonios, an enemy of Epiphiana, a Christian minister, is accused of burning her church. Presumed dead, she is hiding and planning a bizarre "resurrection" ritual to discredit Apollonios. When abusive patient Basina Bobo drowns in a therapeutic mud pool, her meek husband, Flavius, and slave-lover, Hermias. are missing. Getorius assumes the slave killed both masters, but after his mutilated body is found, Flavius is suspected. He surprises Epiphania in an abandoned Egyptian Temple, rants against all women, and stabs her. Mortally wounded, she is carried to the ancient acropolis’s "Throne of Satan" for her Egypto-Christian ritual, where she dies. Fanatical monks incite spectators into destroying the Asklepion. Herakles disappears, stranding the couple.
A harrowing climax involving Getorius, Arcadia, Herakles, Apollonios, his assistant, Aristides, and Aelia Pulcheria, sister of Eastern Emperor Theodosius II, occurs in the pillaged Temple of Asklepios, where a traitorous plot is narrowly averted.
