Overview: I have always been an avid reader of the fantasy genre, even as I grew up and joined the real world with a doctorate in biomedical engineering. If anything, the engineering degree made me think about how some of my favorite fantasy novels of all time could actually happen without rewriting the laws of physics in our own world. Would the hive from Ender’s Game ever actually become reality? With the advent of cloud computing, we’re one step closer to the hive…or skynet if you are a pessimist, but I trust google.
